The Neighborhood
There is nothing like a neighborhood Where you live today There is good, There is bad Something sad So why move away?
There are large homes Small ones too Grass to be cut Trash cans to be filled And towed away.
Too many cars Fewer places to park Too many cats and too many dogs Children playing in the street Who pay no attention to cars.
There are neighbors You've learned to care for And others you wish would move But if they did you would miss them And wonder just where they moved But moving is expected New folks are needed and desired.
You love your neighborhood It must be kept alive Say something nice about the ones who left Be happy when you see them again There is always the possibility They felt the same about you.
